Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Short Stay Unit

Western Health Division of Emergency, Medicine and Access has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager looking for variety and a challenge in a fast paced supportive environment to join Sunshine Hospitalâ€™s Short Stay Unit (SSU) Team.
The Short Stay Unit is planned to be a 24 bed unit within the Division of Emergency, Medicine and Access, that cares for a broad spectrum of patient presentations thus providing variety and exposure to all aspects of Emergency Medicine.
The key objectives of the unit is to safely discharge patients within 24 hours of their hospital admission thus improving patient outcomes and satisfaction. This along with providing best care by minimising inpatient length of stay and in turn improve access and flow for Western Health.
To be Successful in this Role you have;
- A Bachelor of Nursing qualification or equivalent
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Previous experience as ANUM or Nurse in Charge
- Leadership qualities and a positive approach
- Excellent clinical and organisational skills
- A passion for a fast paced acute inpatient environment
- Experience working closely within a multidisciplinary team
