About the role

We are looking for a full-time reception/administration professional who places the wellbeing of our patients above all else. This means flexing to respond to priorities, calm and measured decision making and clear and accountable communication. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) front desk reception; billing and reconciliation; managing appointments, referrals and patient lists; booking tests and hospital admissions; data entry and filing.

Key to the role: 

  • Ability to work across all sites (Dandenong, Hawthorn East & Berwick)
  • Well presented, well-spoken candidate with strong work ethic
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, preferably cardiology
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Ability to multi task with attention to detail
  • Flexible, adaptable and reliable
  • Calm under pressure
  • Empathetic, professional telephone & front desk manner
  • Enthusiasm for dealing with people in the medical field
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Genie & Online Medicare/Eclipse

While medical reception/administration experience is preferred, the right candidate may use their customer service values, strong work ethic, excellent time management skills and steady approach under pressure to demonstrate they can excel in this role.
