The role:

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the administration and execution of the Accounts Receivable function for A2’s entities. The role also supports the finance team in the day-to-day functional accounting activities. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the collection and application of payments from customers through maintaining an up-to-date AR ledger by customer
  • Review bank transactions daily and apply payments to customer accounts
  • Contact customers for outstanding payments as per aged receivables report
  • Generating monthly customer statements
  • Liaise with sales team to investigate and attaining approvals for claims submitted by customers
  • Key point of contact for external customer queries regarding invoicing and crediting
  • Producing month end reports
  • Perform AR reconciliation by entity
  • Generate monthly aging analysis by customer and entity for monthly sales/finance meeting
  • Creating and updating customer accounts.

About you:

  • Proven background in Accounts Receivable and skilled to succeed in a stand-alone AR role
  • Customer service focus and excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem-solving skills and able to use your initiative
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office products and Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience using a large ERP system. Oracle would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • Structured and good time management (eg. meeting month end timelines)
  • Good team player and able to work well with AP and the Finance team.
